Background

Dr. Mohamad Sofi Abu Hassan is currently a researcher of Curtin Aquaculture Research Lab and a lecturer in the Department of Applied Sciences at Curtin University. He earned his PhD in Aquaculture from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), where he also completed his Master’s degree in Biotechnology and Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology. His research interests span across fish diseases, green nanotechnology, immunology, and antimicrobial resistance. His work focuses on advancing aquatic health, tackling emerging diseases, and promoting sustainable aquaculture.
