Geophysics Laboratory

The Geophysics Laboratory is generally used for laboratory sessions and is occupied most of the time. There are a total of 17 stereoscopic zoom microscopes which allow students to view and identify specimens or small samples. Various samples or specimens are available from our igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks, metamorphic rocks, minerals and fossil collections from all over the world. These microscopes come with built-in lighting to help students to see specimens clearly which they describe with the aid of labelled sketches and record in their laboratory worksheets or laboratory reports.
