Civil & Construction Engineering

The Department of Civil and Construction Engineering strives for excellence in teaching and learning and innovative research and development. We are proud to have cutting-edge facilities and dedicated academic and technical staffs to support our academic programs and research.

Below is the list of laboratories with different purposes and experiments:

1. Geo-mechanics Laboratory

The primary purpose for this lab is to investigate pore-scale fluid-sediment interactions over a wide-range of stress regimes.

2. Materials Laboratory

The structures of this lab offer a broad range of tests to characterize the performance of structural system and to evaluate a wide variety of material properties of steel and concrete. This include strength, elastic modulus, dynamic fracture toughness, static fracture toughness and fatigue crack growth.

3. Geo-environmental Laboratory

This lab offers a hands-on experience to the students in analyzing soil-water flow in unsaturated conditions.
