The research is related to nanoparticle application for drilling fluid design. The convention has been to use polymers for fluid loss control but polymers are unable to seal the micro to nanopores of permeable reservoir formation. Again, polymers are temperature sensitive and are subject to mechanical degradation. thus, there is need to design a new type of drilling fluid that can improve fluid loss and withstand HPHT conditions. To achieve this, nanoparticle is a good candidate to be integrated in the drilling fluid design. The nanoparticle of interest here is polystyrene nanoparticles derived from waste polystyrene materials.
Bachelor’s in Petroleum Engineering with CGPA 3.0 and above.
Good communication skills.
