The speaker was Mr. Chow Yuet Hong, Lead Engineer from Ranhill Worley-Parsons Miri. Mr. Chow introduced his company to the audience and shared about the tasks of engineers, particularly mechanical engineers in the oil and gas industries. The talk also included explanation on the sequential processes in designing and building an offshore platform, where he showed the students samples of technical drawings as well as graphical simulations that demonstrate steps of piping installation for offshore platforms.
