We invite you to contribute to the session B06 of AGU´s Meeting of the Americas to be held at Cancun, Mexico during 14 to 17th May 2013 with your research work related to sedimentary registers in different environments of deposition.

Global environmental problem related to anthropogenic activities in and around the aquatic bodies and regions with active and past history of mining are growing day by day and containing the level of pollutants is the need of the hour. The geochemical analysis in such environments (both in water and sediment samples) often reflects the natural and human induced inputs into the environment. This session welcomes contributions on: 1) evaluation of heavy metal concentrations in water and sediments, 2) REE geochemistry as a pollution tracer and 3) problems related to soil, water and air pollution and proposed solutions.
