Background

Dr Chua is currently a senior faculty member of the Chemical Engineering Department at Curtin University, Sarawak Campus. He joined Curtin Sarawak in 2000, and was appointed as Head of the Engineering Programme from 2000-2002 and Director of School of Engineering and Science from 2006-2008. He graduated from King’s College London University in 1979 and obtained his Doctoral Degree in Biochemistry from Queen Mary College, London University in 1983. Prior to joining Curtin, Dr Chua served as a senior academic with a leading tertiary institution in West Malaysia.
