Background

Dr. Tay obtained her Ph.D. (Plant Ecophysiology) from Japan Nara Women’s University, Master of Science (Environmental Chemistry) and Bachelor of Science (Environment) from Universiti Putra Malaysia. She is currently a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Curtin University, Sarawak Campus. Before joining Curtin, she was actively working on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) of government and company projects in the aspects of infrastructure, agriculture, residential and commercial development, aquaculture, sand dredging, and industries. She is registered with the Department of Environment (DOE) Malaysia and Natural Resources of Environment Board (NREB) Sarawak.
