Background

I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Curtin University, Malaysia. I received the Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering with academic distinction (First Class Honours) from Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology (VTU University, India). Upon graduation, I worked as a Process Engineer at Ganesh Benzoplast Ltd India, Tarapur, and Bombay. I then joined International Islamic University Malaysia as research and teaching assistant and further obtained my Master Degree (Biochemical Engineering) specialized in Nanotechnology from the same university in 2010. Right after I finished my Master Degree, I worked at UCSI University as a Lecturer. Along working as an Assistant Professor at UCSI University, I then pursued my postgraduate studies at University Malaya in 2012 and achieved my PhD Degree (Chemical Engineering) specialized in Nanotechnology in 2015. To date, I have published significantly with over 92 peer-reviewed journal articles, 6 book chapter, 20 conference publications and technical reports, Newsletter in Bulletin 2 and a current H-index of 21. Recently I have published 3 papers in prestigious journal such as Scientific Report (Nature family) and two design project article (capstone unit project). I have received many Gold (10) & Silver (7) medals for my innovations presented in prestigious local exhibition such as ITEX, MTE, Bio Malaysia etc. To date, I have obtained five Malaysian patents for my inventions and innovations.

I am a Fellow (FIEAust) and a Chartered Chemical Engineer (CPEng , MIEAust) of Engineers Australia. Also Chartered Chemical Engineer (CEng MIchemE IchemE UK)  of Institution of Chemical Engineers, UK. Recently, I was awarded the Outstanding Scientists for both publication and citation award by I-Proclaim Malaysia 2017. I also received the Outstanding Faculty of Chemical Engineer award by Venus International Foundation India, and Best Scientific Research Award London, both in 2018.  I also served as a scientific reviewer for numerous journals in the areas of Chemical Engineering and Nano Technology. Furthermore, I also served as external grant reviewer and external examiner for PhD/master thesis. At present, I am serving as the Editor in Chief for Eurasian Journal of Analytical Chemistry) and few journal as editorial board member. In addition, my bibliography is available in Marquis Who’s Who in the world® 2016 (33rd edition) vip number is: 37037370.
