Petroleum Geochemistry Laboratory

The Petroleum Geochemistry Laboratory is designed to meet the growing needs of students doing higher degrees/research in the area of geochemistry. There is equipment available, which allows for the acid digestion of rocks/minerals/powders, before being analyzed in our advanced Atomic Absorption Spectrometer equipment. The AAS is capable of accurately determining over 70 different elemental abundances.
