ECE Field Trip to Miri Air Traffic Control Tower
Posted date:The Electrical and Computer Engineering department is organising a field trip to Miri Airport Air Traffic Control Tower (ATC). The ECE department has been given special permission and security clearance to enter and visit this restricted area. This is because every time a MAS or AirAsia plane lands in Miri they require permission and guidance from the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATC). The primary purpose of ATC systems is to separate aircraft to prevent collisions, to organize and expedite the flow of traffic, and to provide information to pilots.
The visit is on 14th of October, Friday, 2011.
Students who have confirmed going for this trip, please gather at the Curtin Bus Stop (Near the book shop) at 8am.
Please contact: Mr Suresh Reuben thru email suresh.b@curtin.edu.my to confirm you are going for the trip.
