Site Visit to Telekom Malaysia Sdn Bhd – Malaysia’s leading communication group

Dear students,

 The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and IEEE society will organize a half-day trip to Telekom Malaysia Sdn Bhd – Malaysia’s broadband champion and leading integrated information and communications group.

 The schedule is as below:

 Date: 10th of May, 2013 (Friday)

Time: 8:00am – 12:00pm

Assembly Point: Campus bus stop (next to the Bookshop/ GK supermarket)

 Do you know how’s phone signal transmitted and received via antenna? Do you know exactly the telecommunication operationflow? Have you wondered how communication company handles million of phone users? No worry, this is the learning opportunity to widen your practical knowledge by visiting to Telekom Malaysia Sdn.  Seats are limited, therefore we will work on a first come first basis (Second and third year ECE department students are strongly encouraged to join this event). If you have classes which clash with this visit, please consult your unit lecturer to discuss the possibility of you joining the visit.

Please read through the following notes before filling up the registration form:                                                                                   

1. Depart sharply from Curtin Campus bus stop near Curtin Bookshop at 8 am to Telekom Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.                      

2. Depart from Telekom Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. at 11:30am to Curtin Miri Campus                                                         

3. Please wear a proper attire during the visit. Slippers and Shorts are strictly not allowed to enter the site.
