Call for Entries: NACES Internal Competition 2012

In conjunction with Chemical Engineering Days 10 – 11 August 2012, Chemical Engineering Student Clubs, co-organised by Department of Chemical Engineering, is going to organise NACES Internal Competition 2012.

This competition itself has three categories:

  1. Technical PowerPoint Presentation
  2. Technical Video presentation
  3. Technical Essay Writing

The theme for this year is “Climate Revolution: The Rise of Earth” and the winners for this year competition will represent our Department in NACES 2012 (December 2012) at University Kebangsaan Malaysia.

The mission of this competition is to raise awareness among the chemical engineers in reducing climate revolution and their role in making the earth a better place to live in long term.  The presentation should include a definition of climate revolution in terms of earth climate change, the global climate change and its influence on revolution. The presentation should also include causes, effects of climate change and co-related issues from different perspectives in the current situation.

The candidates must be full-time undergraduate students in Chemical Engineering Program at Curtin University Sarawak.  Each team must comprise of a maximum of FOUR (4) students for this competition.  The organising club reserves the rights to post up the submitted entries in our future publication without prior notice to the participants. 

Any changes to the confirmed participants list must be informed 1 week earlier before the competition date.  All received submissions from each team will be competed and thus will be presented on the stage for evaluation.  Each entry which does not comply with any of the above rules will be automatically disqualified. 

The registration closing  date is 15 June 2012
