Background

Dr. Phan recently joined Curtin Sarawak in 2015. He obtained his Bachelors degree from University of Architectures, Master of Engineering degree from University of Technology Ho Chi Minh city, and PhD degree from the Queen’s University Belfast, UK. His PhD focused on design optimisation of steel portal frame buildings using genetic algorithms.  Dr. Phan’s other research interests include stressed-skin action on cold-formed steel structures and Building Information Modelling (BIM). He has also been involved with consultancy projects such as in the area of Structural Engineering, and others. He is currently the Lecturer at the Civil and Construction Engineering department.
