2nd Year Applied Geology students’ completed Field Geological Technique 291 Fieldtrip

A total of thirty students along with five staffs from the department of Applied Geology completed their 7 days fieldtrip in Labuan Island for Field Geological Technique 291 subject. This is the third year the fieldtrip being held in Labuan Island. Labuan Island is chosen due to the clearly exposed outcrops along the beach. It is also a good exercise for the beginner (the students) as most of the outcrops consist of variation from sandstone, shale and conglomerate.

As per record, for three year in a row, the department managed to maintain zero-accident during any fieldtrips. Safety issue is taken seriously during any fieldtrips and students are encouraged to take Basic First Aid Course before attending any fieldtrips.
